Becoming a market savvy IT pro

How many times have you come across IT consultants talk about technologies rather than solutions? How many times have you heard IT consultants talk about the latest technologies rather than the organisational needs and requirements? You may have heard an App-V consultant (obviously with a technology hat) say “I help organisations virtualise their applications” whereas a market savvy one will say “I help organisations reduce the total cost of managing end points through the use of virtualised applications”.

Become more market savvy and think from the perspective of the customer; their needs and wants are paramount and their perception of your value is what will keep you in business.
