Managing stakeholders and the role of effective communication in a business change programme.

According to Michael Beer, Russell A. Eisenstat, and Bert Spector most change programmes do not produce any change. In fact, 75% of change programmes are known to fail. This research is to understand the role of effective communication and stakeholder management in the delivery of successful business change programmes.

  1. How did a change programme at Virgin i.e. the ‘Skimpy’ New Uniforms For Female Staff go horribly wrong? You’d expect some consultation but based on the revolt, Virgin must have consulted with only those that could “influence” the outcome, not those that would be “impacted”. It looks like a one-dimensional view of stakeholder prioritisation was done. Another change programme bites the dust

  2. Listening is a great art of communication.
